Tesla Model Y tail lamp: what to send us

Which photos and details help us match a Tesla Model Y tail lamp, and how to describe left or right. A short checklist.

The short version

Send the brand and model, which side you need, and two photos of the old lamp. That is usually enough for us to start checking.

1. Say left or right

Left and right are as seen from the driver's seat, not from outside the car. If you are not sure, say where the damage is, for example “the lamp on the side next to the fuel-side kerb” is too vague, so a photo of the whole rear of the car is better.

2. Photograph the lamp

Take one photo from outside the car showing the whole lamp and the area around it. If the lamp is already off the car, take a second photo of the back, where any markings or numbers are.

3. Tell us the car

Brand, model and, if you can, the year shown on your car documents. Say if the car has been modified, repainted or has had earlier repairs to the rear.

4. Mention what else is damaged

A broken lamp often comes with bumper or reflector damage. Tell us, so we can check the right pieces together.

What happens next

We compare your photos with the part and confirm fitment before we reply. Lamps for the same model can differ, so we do not guess from the model name alone.
